Travel RN – ICU (Night Shift)

Assignment Details

• Specialty: ICU Registered Nurse
• Shift: 12-hour Nights
• Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with:
  • Ventilators
  • BiPAP
  • Titrating vasoactive and sedation drips
  • Critical care patient management
• Previous travel experience preferred
• BSN not required

Unit & Patient Population

• 16-bed Medical ICU
• Typical patient ratio: 1:2 (occasionally 1:3)
• Common diagnoses include:
  • Sepsis
  • Respiratory failure
  • Stroke
  • Myocardial infarction (MI)
  • Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)
  • STEMI
  • Atrial fibrillation with RVR
  • Pulmonary embolism (PE)
  • COVID-19
  • COPD exacerbations

Skills & Responsibilities

• Titrate vasoactive and sedation drips (e.g., norepinephrine, phenylephrine, nicardipine, dexmedetomidine, propofol)
• Interpret and verify cardiac rhythms
• Care for critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring
• Float to PCU and Med-Surg as needed (orientation/training provided)
