Physical Therapist – Outpatient

Schedule: Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM with flexibility. Rotating weekends, 4 weekends within a year, 1 holiday per year.

Requirements:

• License: Physical Therapist (Required)
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) – Within 1 month of hire or transfer (Highly Preferred)
• Education: Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Experience: Successful completion of facility-specific orientation and new hire competency.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients by performing formal and informal testing measures to assess skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status.
• Develop and update goal-specific treatment plans based on assessment data and patient tolerance.
• Educate patients, families, and/or caregivers regarding conditions, treatment alternatives, and prognosis using effective teaching methods.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and aides, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Document patient responses to treatment and changes in condition according to documentation policies.
• Function as a case manager for assigned cases and participate in interdisciplinary team conferences.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation rules: Successful completion of facility-specific orientation is required.
• Background checks: Candidates will have to undergo fingerprinting, which will be paid for by the facility.
• Mandatory Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training is required annually according to the Exposure Control Plan.
• Ability to work where employee may be exposed to communicable diseases and to use personal protective equipment correctly.
