Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification, required
• Experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and staff
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies to diverse learning needs
• Positive, collaborative approach to classroom management

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized lesson plans for students with ASD
• Collaborate with fellow educators, therapists, and support staff to ensure student success
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet individualized education goals
• Foster a supportive, structured, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports on student performance
• Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and needs
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities
