Personal TrainerAs a Personal Trainer at the YMCA, you will instruct and support members in a safe, welcoming, and positive environment that promotes wellness, confidence, and healthy lifestyles in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. You will build meaningful connections with members through attentive instruction, encouragement, and individualized support, while assisting with the development and implementation of member engagement efforts that foster inclusion, motivation, and a strong sense of community.Essential functions include answering questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living, providing fitness assessments and individualized fitness programs for program participants, building effective, authentic relationships with members, assisting members living with disabilities, being a team player and attending staff meetings and trainings, maintaining open communications with supervisor, assisting in maintaining equipment, and following YMCA policies and procedures.Our culture at the Y is one of inclusivity, genuineness, hope, nurturing, and determination.
