Boomi is seeking a Design Engineer (Water/Wastewater) with 3 to 8 years of professional experience to join our dynamic and fun-loving team of professionals and contribute to projects in Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Sustainability and Resiliency service areas. This role is open in our New York City Office. The Design Engineer will collaborate with our team of civil/environmental engineers to drive projects and lead client interactions. Majority of the projects will be New York City based, with potential to lead projects in other geographical areas in the Northeast. Job Responsibilities The Water/Wastewater Design Engineer role involves driving projects in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, distribution and collection systems, pump/lift stations and other water resource infrastructure. The role requires contributing to a range of projects from feasibility study, conceptual design, detailed design and design services during construction. In addition, the role requires working with Project Managers in the development of project scopes and fee estimates, managing project risks, identifying right staff resources, and related activities. Travel may be required for client meetings, project site visits, and other assignments. Qualifications and Skills Specific qualifications and skills desired include, but are not limited to, the following: Bachelor’s degree in civil, or environmental engineering Professional Engineering license in New York State (or ability to obtain PE within 12-18 months) Minimum of 3 years of experience in consulting engineering/ detailed design project delivery pertaining to water resource projects Full-time regular, 40 hours per week, non-exempt status.
