Job Description
We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up, operate, and perform basic programming on CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable interpreting engineering drawings, making machine adjustments, and producing precision-machined parts to meet quality and production requirements. Programming experience at the machine or using CAD/CAM software is required. This position is a daytime role, Mon-Thursday starting at 6 am.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
- Perform basic CNC programming and edit existing programs at the machine or using CAD/CAM software.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
- Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and workholding devices.
- Adjust machine offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain part quality.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary program or setup adjustments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience setting up and operating CNC milling machines, 3 to 5 years.
- Some CNC programming experience, either at the machine or through CAD/CAM software.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Experience using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
Schedule
- Day shift, Monday through Thursday.
- Location: Hayward, California.
