We are currently looking for a Board-Certified, highly skilled orthopedic surgeon to become part of our outstanding team at the Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) located in the beautiful city of Phoenix, Arizona.

As an integral member of our team, you will carry out a variety of orthopedic surgical procedures, including:
- Basic fracture stabilization
- Soft tissue repair
- Arthroscopy
- Arthroplasty (with a current emphasis on primary and revision total hip and knee replacements)
Note: An adult joint reconstruction fellowship is highly preferred and will be given additional consideration.
Compensation and Benefits: Salary:
Attractive salary package, including an annual performance bonus and regular salary increments.
Paid Time Off:
Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays, and a potential 5-day paid absence for Continuing Medical Education (CME).
Retirement:
Traditional federal pension (with a 5-year vesting period) and a federal 401k plan with contributions of up to 5% from the organization.
Insurance:
Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance (many federal insurance options can be maintained into retirement).
CME:
Potential reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year.
Education Debt Reduction Program:
Eligible for up to $200,000 in student loan repayment.*
Malpractice:
Liability protection provided at no cost, including tail coverage.
Contract:
No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.
- Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent qualification from an accredited medical or osteopathic program.
- Must hold one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory, maintaining a current, active status.
- U.S. Citizenship is required (non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens cannot be recruited, in accordance with VA Policy).
