Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Office of Field Operations - New Orleans Field Office, New Orleans, LA. Learn more about this agency Duties Help This position will allow you to use your expertise in administration to provide advisory and technical services in a variety of mission support functional areas. This position starts at a salary of $50,460.00 (GS-7, Step 1) to $80,243.00 (GS-9, Step 10) with promotion potential to $97,087 (GS-11 Step 10).
- Performing assignments requiring the application of fundamental principles, concepts, techniques, and guidelines in an administrative specialty area(s).
- Conducting detailed planning to gather and interpret information and data for complex problems, issues, and unusual circumstances.
- Identifying ways to improve or enhance current services and to ensure that such services meet management's business objectives.
- Analyzing the effects of changes in laws and regulations as they pertain to administrative specialty areas.Identifying and clarifying problems in order to propose recommendations to management.

- Assessing situations that are complicated by conflicting and/or incomplete data, requiring general problem solving to isolate issues.
- Assisting with reconciling conflicting incomplete information and helping to identify and extract additional pertinent information required.
- Defining issues or problems in terms that are compatible with appropriate laws, policies, or regulations.
- Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and
- Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 07/07/2026.

- Participation in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. affiliated college or university
