Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients within a Medical Surgical unit, ensuring adherence to established standards of practice. Supervises and coordinates nursing activities, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and promotes patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status by collecting relevant data and interpreting clinical information.
• Develop personalized care plans with appropriate interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Implement and coordinate patient care while maintaining a safe and healing environment.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care plans based on clinical changes.
• Delegate appropriate tasks to nursing staff and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess at least two years of recent experience in a Medical Surgical setting.
• Maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferably hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).
• Demonstrate proficiency in EPIC and Cerner electronic medical records systems.
