Material Coordinator Job Summary:


A furniture manufacturing company is seeking a temporary Material Coordinator to assist their team. This position will coordinate efforts across supervisors, planners, engineers, shifts, departments, and plants to support material and inventory tracking. The role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.


Material Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Supports supervisors, planners, engineers, shifts, and departments to ensure smooth material tracking in production and warehouse areas
• Coordinates material movements, including overseeing gating and managing transactions within the ERP system
• Tracks and manages inventory to ensure materials are available for production needs, monitors cycle counts, and verifies material availability
• Handles occasional lifting, pulling, or carrying of up to 20 pounds
• Collaborates with team members and adapts to changing priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Schedule and Pay:

• 2nd shift, 3:20pm-11:40pm Mon-Fri (OT as needed)
• $24.01/HR

Material Coordinator Qualifications:

• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Experience with ERP systems (BPICS Green Screen AS400 or similar)
• Comfortable with computer tasks, including basic MS Office and system transactions
• Familiarity with inventory control procedures and production floor environment
• Ability to operate forklift preferred
• Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, evolving environment
• Able to handle constructive feedback and shifting directions
• Previous experience as a Production Clerk, Inventory Clerk, Production Control Coordinatoror Cycle Counter preferred
