Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations
• Prepare specimens for lab testing following established protocols
• Explant procedures to patients, ensuring a safe and professional environment
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens
• Create an atmosphere of trust and confidence with patients through effective communication
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors, process excellence, and confidentiality in daily tasks
• Perform specimen collection and processing with confidence and adherence to safety standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment

Required Skills

• Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Keyboard and data entry proficiency

Additional Skills & Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Flexibility and availability to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed
