Senior Director, Global Commercial Data Platforms & AI Engineering

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Director to lead global commercial data platforms and AI engineering strategy for Innovative Medicine. The role bridges business strategy with technology delivery, overseeing platform architecture, AI capabilities, and high-performing engineering teams across enterprise-scale operations.

Responsibilities

Define and execute long-term strategy for global commercial data platforms including architecture, products, and cloud modernization
Build and scale AI engineering capabilities for operationalizing machine learning, generative AI, and agentic solutions
Lead engineering teams responsible for platform architecture, data integration, MLOps, and enterprise-scale deployment
Partner with Commercial Strategy, Medical Affairs, and regional teams to identify data and AI-driven business opportunities
Build and develop high-performing organization of data engineers, AI engineers, and technical leaders

Requirements

Advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA, or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field
12+ years in data, analytics, AI, software engineering, platforms, or technology leadership
Deep expertise in enterprise data architecture, cloud platforms, and modern analytics ecosystems
Significant experience designing and deploying AI/ML solutions at enterprise scale
Demonstrated expertise with generative AI, large language models, and agentic AI systems
Proven leadership building and scaling data engineering, ML engineering, or AI engineering teams
Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
