Other related duties as assigned.\n \n MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.\n PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree\n MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None\n PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Two years in acute care. Previous clinical nursing experience.\n REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE : Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse\n PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:\n REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):\n Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.\n AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY)*Should be completed before the end of the orientation period\n AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role (LABOR & DELIVERY or any nurse floated into L&D)*Should be completed before the end of the orientation period\n Fetal Monitoring - L&D and Antepartum: Novice RNs are required to complete GNOSIS introduction to Fetal Heart Monitoring with 30 days from hire date or transfer date into unit and AWHONN Intermediate Heart Monitoring with 8 months of L&D Orientation.
