Program Overview The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development‑focused role designed to prepare you for a CVS Store Manager position. It provides 16 weeks of self‑paced, collaborative training, combining virtual and hands‑on learning experiences. Your growth is supported by a District Leader, Human Resources Business Partner, Training Store Manager, and a Store Manager coach. Responsibilities and Expectations Actively engage with your leader in key learning experiences to support your path to promotion during the structured program. Support your store as a management‑team member and lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Engage your colleagues in support of the company's purpose of “helping people on their path to better health.” Be willing to accept promotion roles with the market that you work in. Selection for the SMIT position does not guarantee promotion into a Store Manager position. Whether and when you are promoted depends on a variety of factors, including performance and availability of openings. Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication to support and lead your team. Ability to perform customer care duties and deliver a high level of service. Capability to execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Skill in managing store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor. Willingness to accept promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Ability to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Compensation and Working Hours Anticipated Weekly Hours: 45 hours Time Type: Full time Pay Range: $18.50 – $23.88 per hour (base hourly rate or base annual salary depends on experience, education, geography and other factors) Benefits As a full‑time employee, you will be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package supporting physical, emotional, and financial well‑being.
