Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

8-hour shifts - flexible

The Physical Therapist assists patients in reaching maximum performance by evaluating, planning, and implementing therapeutic programs. This includes the prevention, identification, correction, and alleviation of acute or prolonged movement dysfunction of anatomic or physiologic origin.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' physical and functional status, including musculoskeletal and neurological systems.
• Set appropriate short- and long-term goals consistent with treatment plans.
• Select, administer, and monitor treatments such as modalities, therapeutic exercises, and functional mobility training.
• Instruct patients and families in care and use of assistive devices.
• Reassess patient responses to treatment and adjust programs accordingly.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in discharge planning with other healthcare personnel.
• Stay updated on current trends and developments in the field.
• Support continuous quality improvement initiatives in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Current State license (or eligible for license) as a Physical Therapist.
• 1-2 years of progressively responsible experience in the physical therapy field.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical ability for evaluating patient status and formulating treatment plans.
