Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Neuropsychologist to join our team and provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for individuals who have experienced personal injuries, including motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and other traumatic events.

The Neuropsychologist will assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, and psychological functioning and prepare clear, comprehensive evaluation reports. This position is well suited for a clinician with experience in neuropsychological assessment, personal injury cases, trauma-related conditions, and/or forensic or insurance-related evaluations.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent report-writing skills, and the ability to conduct thorough evaluations while maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics.

Responsibilities

1. Neuropsychological Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for individuals who have experienced personal injuries.

• Assess cognitive domains including attention, memory, processing speed, executive functioning, language, visuospatial abilities, and other relevant areas.

• Evaluate emotional, behavioral, and psychological factors that may affect cognitive functioning.

• Review relevant medical, psychological, educational, occupational, and legal records as appropriate.

• Select and administer appropriate standardized neuropsychological tests and measures.

2. Clinical Interpretation

• Integrate test results, clinical interviews, behavioral observations, and available records.

• Identify patterns of cognitive and psychological functioning relevant to the referral question.

• Consider the potential impact of injury, trauma, pain, emotional distress, and other factors on functioning.

• Provide clinically appropriate diagnostic impressions when supported by the evaluation.

3. Comprehensive Reporting

• Prepare detailed, accurate, and professionally written neuropsychological evaluation reports.

• Clearly communicate findings, diagnostic impressions, functional implications, and recommendations.

• Prepare reports that may be utilized for clinical, insurance, disability, or legal purposes.

• Complete documentation within established turnaround times.

4. Collaboration

• Communicate professionally with referring providers and other members of the multidisciplinary care team as appropriate.

• Provide clarification regarding evaluation findings when needed.

• Collaborate with attorneys, medical professionals, insurance representatives, or other authorized parties when appropriate and consistent with professional and ethical standards.

5. Ethical and Professional Standards

• Maintain strict confidentiality and protect patient privacy.

• Practice in accordance with applicable state and federal laws, professional ethical standards, and neuropsychological practice guidelines.

• Maintain appropriate documentation and secure handling of clinical records.

• Maintain current professional licensure and credentials required to provide services.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Licensed as a psychologist in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• PSYPACT authorization/eligibility required for candidates providing services across PSYPACT participating jurisdictions.

• Training and experience in neuropsychological assessment.

• Strong knowledge of standardized neuropsychological testing and interpretation.

• Excellent clinical documentation and report-writing skills.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage evaluation caseloads effectively.

• Commitment to ethical, evidence-based professional practice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations following traumatic brain injury (TBI), concussion, or other personal injuries.

• Experience working with individuals involved in personal injury claims.

• Experience with forensic, disability, workers' compensation, or insurance-related evaluations.

• Familiarity with medical and legal records relevant to personal injury cases.

• Experience providing telehealth neuropsychological services.

• Board certification or advanced training in neuropsychology is a plus.

Compensation

$1,700 per completed neuropsychological evaluation , depending on the scope and complexity of the evaluation.
