About the Endoscopy Department The Endoscopy Department provides high‑quality, patient‑centered diagnostic and therapeutic services in a safe and compassionate environment. The team uses advanced technology to perform a wide range of procedures including screening, diagnostic, interventional endoscopy gastrointestinal and lung procedures. The department focuses on patient comfort, safety, and timely care. Responsibilities Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Schedule PRN – Shifts vary – No on‑call required. Qualifications Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred. Nursing License. Some endoscopy experience preferred. BCLS and ACLS required. PALS, and Handle with Care preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
