Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient/Inpatient

Location: Missouri

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:00) with 1 Saturday per month required. A day off during the week will be scheduled in collaboration with the Therapy Director when working the weekend.

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support both outpatient and inpatient settings, including swing bed, observation, and extended recovery patients. The successful candidate will hold current Missouri licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant and must possess BLS and CPR certifications through the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities:

• Provide rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist in the development and implementation of treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedural guidelines.
• May be required to float to assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phones and patient transport.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
• Current Missouri state licensure or a Compact license.
• BLS and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
