Job Summary

The TGCM Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, system monitoring, and analytical procedures for gas and chemical-related equipment. This role supports safe and efficient operations while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Job Description

  • Perform minor inspections and preventive maintenance on gas and chemical-related equipment
  • Perform daily rounds, including recording readings, completing safety inspections, monitoring online gas and chemical systems, verifying toxic gas monitoring operations, and completing chemical tote/drum and gas cylinder change-outs
  • Make initial evaluations and obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem situations
  • Satisfactorily complete TGCM Tech Level 6 local OJT minimum requirements within 12 months in job grade
  • Participate in customer and company programs, including but not limited to Safety, Training, Operations, and Preventive Maintenance
  • Comply with all applicable HS&E Standards, including but not limited to PPE, Forklift Operations, Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO), and Confined Space Entry
  • Complete assigned tasks per existing procedures
  • Perform minor analytical procedures and/or sampling procedures
  • Accountable for the safety of all personnel and the general public surrounding the facility
  • Hazardous Waste Technician:
    • Responsible for the proper transfer of materials to the dock hazardous waste storage area, proper maintenance of the dock hazardous storage area, use of appropriate documentation, equipment, and procedures for ensuring proper management of hazardous waste, proper labeling of hazardous waste
    • Follow proper procedures for handling spills/emergencies, pour-up of materials, segregation of compatible materials, preparation for waste/containers for shipment, operation of a forklift
    • Support waste minimization programs/activities, and maintaining an understanding of applicable hazardous waste laws

Skills Required

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Experience in the semiconductor or chemical/specialty gas field, military technical/electronic rating, nuclear field, or an equivalent industry preferred
  • Knowledge of all proper reporting procedures per onsite operations policy, including product acceptance criteria, tank fills, inventory and material usage, monitoring, safety parameters, and personnel requirements
  • Strong mechanical and electromechanical aptitude
  • Ability to understand and adhere to stringent safety and quality standards
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn

 

Education/Training/Certifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

 

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting

 

Pay Rate/Salary

  • $27.50/hr. Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location
