You will regularly utilize testing and diagnostics to achieve early diagnosis, coupled with extensive opportunities in advanced care and surgical procedures. Furthermore, we are prepared to handle time-sensitive cases, offering both urgent care and emergency care services to our community. This diverse caseload ensures that you will constantly expand your skill set and remain engaged in complex medical decision-making. Wheat Ridge, Colorado, offers an ideal location just outside of Denver, providing easy access to all the opportunities and recreation the region is known for. Position Skills: - Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms - Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals - Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols for fellow staff members - Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, anesthesia monitoring - Proficient in dental prophylaxis Position Requirements: - Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state. - Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology
