About the Role

The Company is in search of a VP, Clinical Development with a focus on cardiovascular medicine. This pivotal role involves serving as the Clinical Lead for a high-priority late-stage program, with full accountability for clinical strategy and execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning clinical development plans, leading the Clinical Strategy Sub-Team, and making critical clinical decisions based on emerging data and regulatory expectations. The role also includes acting as a senior clinical representative in executive discussions, partnering with various departments to ensure seamless execution, and building relationships with leading investigators and key opinion leaders in the field. Applicants for the VP, Clinical Development position at the company should have a Medical Degree, with board certification strongly preferred, and at least 10 years of relevant cardiovascular clinical drug development experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of serving as the clinical lead for a major cardiovascular program, from IND through late-stage development milestones. A strong understanding of clinical trial design, regulatory strategy, and the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams is essential. The role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth biotech environment and to be comfortable with ambiguity while helping to design future-state organizations.
