Hospital Patient Services Clerk 2

Job Summary Responsible for performing patient scheduling duties and coordinating new patient referrals. Duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and completing patient pre-registration by entering and verifying demographics, insurance information and collecting medical records/physician orders. Must be able to communicate effectively to transfer information, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Minimum Qualifications For consideration for this title, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications: NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible list or eligible for transfer Or you must be a qualified employee of the State University of New York and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1 or as a Nursing Station Clerk 1 Work Days Schedule based on a 40-hour work week.
