Clinical Research Coordinator

Clinical Research Study Surveillance CoordinatorPerformance of surveillance for monitoring results and adverse events occurring as a result of specific clinical research study in the Health Sciences Center. Job responsibilities include investigation reporting consultation and education of healthcare personnel.Job responsibilities include:Surveillance of research patient units for monitoring of results and detection of adverse events as a result of study protocol.Consultation and/or assistance to units and/or clinics as it relates to study patients protocol and research guidelines.Development and delivery of educational programs for patients staff and faculty.Assistance to Principal Investigators during audits by sponsoring agency or other regulatory bodies.Tracking appropriate data to assess patients response to study protocol.Performance of area-specific support/clinical activities.Minimum requirements:Education: Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Education and Experience.Experience: 3-5 years nursing experience.Licensure: Must be a registered nurse and currently licensed to practice in the State of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.Physical demands:Job requires sitting for prolonged periods frequently traveling (distance: mile).Proficient communicative auditory and visual skills.Attention to detail and ability to write legibly.Ability to lift/push/pull 10lbs.May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.Pay range for this role is 33.27 - 53.23 hourly.
