General Laborer - Manufacturing

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

A growing manufacturing company is looking for dependable General Laborers to join the team. If you enjoy hands-on work, staying active throughout the day, and learning new skills, this could be a great fit.

No manufacturing experience required. Paid training provided.

In this role, you'll support production operations, handle materials, package products, and assist machine operators. As you gain experience, you'll have opportunities to learn production equipment, earn forklift certification, and advance into machine operator positions.

• Support production lines and assist machine operators throughout the shift
• Package and prepare finished products for shipment
• Move raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility
• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and basic operation
• Perform quality checks to help ensure product standards are met
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies
• Work with team members across multiple departments as needed

• Previous experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, landscaping, or other physically demanding work preferred
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift
• Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn equipment operation
• Ability to work safely around machinery and production equipment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and lift throughout a 10-hour shift
• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed

This position is based in an industrial manufacturing facility and involves a combination of indoor and outdoor work. The role is physically active and may involve exposure to dust, noise, moving equipment, and changing temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided and required. Safety is our top priority.

This is a Contract position based out of Chesapeake, VA.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
