Tax Manager POST NUMBER: 307429
A VACO client is seeking an experienced Construction Tax Manager to lead tax planning, compliance, and consulting efforts for construction industry clients while serving as a trusted advisor to business owners and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage federal, state, and local tax compliance for construction and real estate clients.
- Review and prepare complex corporate, partnership, S-corporation, and individual tax returns.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies, cash flow optimization, and business structuring.
- Provide guidance on percentage-of-completion accounting, revenue recognition, and industry-specific tax issues.
- Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and emerging legislation impacting construction businesses.
- Lead tax engagements from planning through completion while ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing proactive tax and business advice.
- Mentor and supervise tax staff and seniors, providing technical guidance and professional development.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development initiatives.
