Store Sales Associate

The Opportunity The Store Sales Associate is a key member of the US Commercial team and plays an important role in delivering an exceptional customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment. This position supports retail and contractor customers by providing product recommendations, color matching, order support, and outstanding service. The starting pay rate for this role is $18/hour. This position is scheduled within typical store hours: Monday - Friday: 7am - 5pm Saturday: 8am - 12pm Sunday: Closed Key Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service by understanding customer needs and recommending the right products and solutions Assist retail and contractor customers with product selection, color matching, and order processing Mix, tint, and match paint products according to customer specifications Build knowledge of Pittsburgh Paints Company brands, products, and store processes Process customer orders and payments through phone, in-person, online, and email channels Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving store sales goals Load, drive, and deliver customer orders via company vehicle Resolve customer concerns and elevate issues when needed Safely handle, load, unload, and organize products for stocking and order fulfillment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment Support daily store operations and team priorities as needed Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Valid driver's license required, must pass all background items and physical Customer service experience preferred with a team-focused approach Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers in a professional manner Ability to use a computer and keyboard for order processing and customer support Ability to work scheduled hours as needed, including flexibility based on business needs Ability to lift up to 80 pounds occasionally and 40-60 pounds routinely, including standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching Ability to operate a hand truck and/or material handling equipment Success Factors The ideal candidate demonstrates: Strong customer service skills and a customer-first mindset Attention to detail and accuracy in daily tasks Dependability and strong time management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Willingness to learn, support the team, and deliver a positive customer experience Applicants mustbe authorized towork in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship (now or in the future).
