JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsibilities:
As a Fencing Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of fencing projects, including security, industrial/commercial, and residential fencing. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Performing accurate project take-offs from drawings, blueprints, other source materials, or provide a “boots on the ground” site assessment to obtain field measurements. Using the information provided to prepare detailed proposals for clients.
• Develop project plans including creating and maintaining complete and accurate project documentation, manage subcontractor relationships, and coordinate on-site personnel.
• Be knowledgeable and have the ability to communicate with clients and staff about products, procedures, and company policies.
• Provide project scheduling and conduct site visits to monitor workmanship quality, enforce safety protocols (e.g., customer safety policy compliance), and ensure site-specific requirements are met.
• When required, conduct project meetings to ensure all effected parties - including customers and staff - are informed and kept updated on project status.
• Ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Developing a detailed project plan to track progress and adjust the plan as needed. This includes resolving potential on-site issues as they arise.
• Managing the relationship with vendors, customers and staff and ensuring clear and transparent communication.
• Overseeing the completion of the punch list and ensuring all items are addressed promptly and efficiently.
• Providing reliable and consistent customer service, maintaining a positive attitude and demeanor during all customer contact. This includes expediting the resolution of potential problems or complaints to maximize mutual professional satisfaction.
• Identifying potential risks and issues early, finding the appropriate solutions, and escalating when necessary.
• Provide as needed training, support, and/or supervision to the company’s staff in supplying products and services to individuals and contractors.
• Supply management with information on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products or services.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Fencing Project Manager role should possess:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the civil or fencing industries, specifically in security fencing, industrial/commercial fencing, and residential fencing with a preference for commercial fencing or guardrail experience.
• Proven experience in project management, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent client-oriented and internal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• A valid driver's license.
• Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate problems before they arise and work toward seamless solutions with little to no impact on the project timeline and customer relationship.
• An understanding of the importance of health and safety regulations in the construction industry.
