Nurse Extern Adult Med Surg PRN

Mission Health, based in Asheville, NC, is seeking a Nurse Extern for our Adult Medical-Surgical unit on a PRN basis. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care for adult and geriatric patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions. As a Nurse Extern, you will assist with basic patient care activities such as vital signs, hygiene, mobility, intake and output monitoring, and documentation in the electronic health record, while learning and reinforcing core nursing skills in a real-world acute care environment. You will collaborate closely with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to support care plans, communicate changes in patient status, and contribute to a healing, respectful, and compassionate environment.
