Logistics Supervisor

Purpose

This role focuses on managing the production to optimize the use of resources by meeting the production schedules and standards including planning, production controlling, analyzing the forecast, service-level agreements etc.

Key Missions

• Ensure an adequate master production schedule
• Work closely with order management, account management and the production departments to arrive at a workable and realistic situation in production using the automated systems
• Ensures adequate material planning (MRP)
• Manages order management and procurement with regard to material orders
• Identifies bottlenecks and makes proposals for arriving at an adequate solution
• Analyzes and interpretes customer forecasts
• Analyzes historical trends
• Creates production plan to ensure capacity is available
• Communicates and agrees plans with internal areas
• Understands different production flows, timings or run rates
• Generates and analyzes stock reports as required to report customer stock holdings
• Identifies, escalates and actions any material constraints vs. future planned use to assure production
• Plans and controls production schedules and coordinating with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials
• Estimates and schedules the human resources, tools, and equipment needed for the production process
• Researches, evaluates, and recommends changes to production processes, systems, technology, or equipment to enhance organization's production capabilities
• Ensures adequate production planning through effective coordination of capacities and material flows in such a way that timely delivery, with the right quantity and quality, can be achieved at the lowest cost
• Manages all aspects of the planning process from forecast receipt and customer requirements through to production requirements to achieve set plan and manage the internal communication about production status and service-level agreements achievement
• Releases work orders
• Creates some Reports (stock level, SLA, KPIs, etc.)
• Checks if the work order runs according to the plan
