Work Environment

This position is structured as a remote opportunity, allowing you the flexibility to work from a comfortable environment of your choice while remaining connected with our multidisciplinary team. You will engage in efficient virtual sessions, utilizing technology to maintain high-quality therapeutic practices. Our outpatient office model means you will primarily interact with clients via telehealth platforms, ensuring that you provide accessible mental health support for those in need.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough client assessments to accurately gauge mental health status and emotional needs, including gathering personal histories and symptom evaluations.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that consider the unique circumstances and goals of each client, ensuring a tailored approach to therapy.
  • Deliver various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), family therapy, and group therapy sessions to meet diverse client needs.
  • Continuously monitor client progress, utilizing outcome measures and feedback to adapt treatment plans as necessary to improve effectiveness.
  • Provide crisis support through responsive interventions for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Maintain precise and confidential records, thoroughly documenting client interactions in alignment with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, treatment modalities, and best practices in mental health to deliver the highest standard of care.
  • Participate in ongoing supervision and training to enhance clinical skills and address professional development goals.
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines set forth by state licensing boards and professional organizations, ensuring moral integrity in all client interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will be primarily focused on supporting clients who seek outpatient counseling services, all in pursuit of improved mental health outcomes. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in establishing trust and rapport with clients, essential for effective therapy.

Qualifications

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.
  • Current and valid state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW).
  • Strong proficiency in clinical assessment and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate connections with clients.
  • A compassionate and empathetic nature focused on client welfare and support.
  • The ability to work autonomously while also being a collaborative team member.

Preferred Experience

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or a related field is required.
  • Experience working with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy delivery is highly preferred.
