PET/CT Technologist (Nuclear Medicine) Location: El Paso, TX (Covering two outpatient clinics located just 4 minutes apart) Position Type: 3-Month Contract (With an open door to extend to 6 months), Monday – Friday (No On-Call / No Weekends) Salary: $3,135 – $3,350 / week (Gross, based on 40 hours) | High potential for overtime Start Date: 7/13 About the Role Are you an experienced Nuclear Medicine professional looking for a highly competitive weekly rate, high overtime potential, and a predictable daytime schedule with zero weekend or on-call burnout? We are seeking a skilled PET/CT Technologist to join our premier, oncology-focused clinical network in El Paso, TX. In this role, you will provide critical diagnostic imaging using advanced GE equipment within a patient-centered environment. Key Responsibilities Advanced Oncology Imaging: Perform high-quality PET/CT diagnostic examinations utilizing advanced GE Discovery IQ and GMI scanners. Clinical Collaboration & Systems: Manage a detailed paperwork workflow smoothly utilizing Athena, Mosaic, and Carestream PACS systems. Patient Care: Provide compassionate, high-standard care to oncology patients, ensuring comfort and clear communication throughout the imaging process. Operational Efficiency: Stay assigned to one clinical site per day (no mid-shift floating) working efficiently alongside a dedicated Medical Assistant who supports your daily workflow. Schedule & Work Environment Setting: Outpatient Clinics (Two local sites located just 4 minutes apart) Hours: 4x10 staggered day shifts (either 6:30 AM – 4:35 PM or 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM) Work-Life Balance: Generous 4-day work week with zero weekends and no on-call requirements . Patient Volume: Highly manageable and supported pacing. Single-tech days see approximately 8–9 scans, while double-tech days see 12–13 total scans. Qualifications & Skills Required Certifications: Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine ( ARRT(N) ) OR credentialed by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board ( NMTCB ). State Licensure: Must hold an active, valid Texas State License. Safety Certification: Hazmat Certification. (If your certification is expired or you do not have it, you can obtain it prior to starting or on-site). Soft Skills: Excellent bedside manner, strong clinical empathy for oncology patients, and comfort managing detailed documentation workflows.
