The expected base pay for this role is component pay (based on miles, pick-up rate, and waiting time) with a minimum pay of $275.00 per day.

Schedule is Monday - Friday, some Saturdays. Dispatching between 1:00 am - 6:00 am (sometimes as late as 11:00am depending on when pick-ups are scheduled, 12-14 hours per day). There might be some overnight pickups. Flexibility with schedule is required.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely drive truck to vendors and company drop-off sites
• Verify freight on truck, required trailer temperatures and accuracy of freight with vendors
• Return tractor and trailer to division when route is completed
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
• Must be able to perform coupling procedures for the Tractor/Trailer

What You Bring to the Table

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week required
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base component pay for this role is between $32.98/hour and $52.15/hour based on miles, pick-up, and waiting time rates as applicable, with a minimum $275.00/day.

As applicable, this role may also receive paid training and component pay (i.e., based on miles, pick-up, and waiting time rates).​​
