Creative Specialist

The Creative Specialist develops and executes innovative visual communications that advance the firm’s brand, strategic priorities, and business objectives. This role combines creative thinking, visual storytelling, and technical design expertise to create compelling work across digital, print, video, presentation, social media, and emerging media channels. Working collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the firm, the Creative Specialist transforms complex ideas into impactful creative solutions that engage audiences, elevate the firm’s market presence, and strengthen brand consistency. Duties and Responsibilities Primary Conceptualize, design, and deliver high-impact visual communications and creative campaigns that support the firm’s marketing, communications, business development, recruiting, thought leadership, and internal initiatives. Develop creative concepts and translate business objectives, messaging, and stakeholder needs into compelling visual solutions across a variety of platforms and formats. Create and produce a broad range of creative assets, including advertising campaigns, presentations, publications, infographics, digital content, videos, motion graphics, web graphics, social media assets, event branding, and other communications materials. Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Business Development, Recruiting, and firm leadership to develop creative approaches that effectively communicate key messages and engage target audiences. Recommend and implement innovative design approaches, templates, and creative best practices that enhance visual storytelling and strengthen the firm’s brand identity. Assist in the development, implementation, and evolution of the firm’s visual standards while ensuring all creative deliverables align with established brand guidelines. Leverage emerging technologies, design platforms, and AI-enabled creative tools to improve efficiency, expand capabilities, and elevate the quality of creative output. Support the adoption, governance, and optimization of enterprise creative technologies, including Canva Enterprise and Brandfolder, helping to scale creative operations, strengthen brand consistency, and improve access to firm-wide creative resources.. Serves as a resource on evolving design technologies, presentation platforms, and creative best practices. Provide creative consultation and design expertise to colleagues across the firm, advising on visual communications, presentation design, and effective brand application. Ensure all creative deliverables maintain a high standard of quality, consistency, accessibility, and professionalism. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of creative work against business and audience engagement goals, applying insights to inform future creative direction. Manage relationships with photographers, videographers, printers, freelance creatives, and external vendors — overseeing quality, cost-effectiveness, and production timelines to ensure creative solutions align with brand standards and deliver strong value to the firm. Support the organization and management of creative assets and digital content resources to facilitate collaboration and efficient access to firm materials. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines within a fast-paced environment. Secondary Performs other duties as assigned. Education Associate degree, design/trade school certification, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience in graphic design, visual communications, marketing, or related field. Experience Five years of professional design experience with a portfolio demonstrating creative excellence across multiple media channels. Special Knowledge Strong visual communication and storytelling skills with the ability to transform complex information into clear, compelling creative solutions. Demonstrated ability to develop creative concepts from initial idea through final execution. Strong understanding of branding, typography, composition, color theory, audience engagement, and user experience principles. Experience creating effective communications across digital, social media, print, video, presentation, and interactive platforms. Knowledge of current design trends, emerging technologies, and evolving creative best practices. Technical Skills Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Audition, and related applications. Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office, presentation design tools, and digital content creation platforms. Familiarity with Brandfolder or similar digital asset management platforms. Experience utilizing emerging creative technologies and AI-enabled design tools. Working Conditions Position operates in a hybrid professional work environment and may require extended hours, including evenings or weekends, to meet project deadlines, event timelines, or firm priorities. Effective collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders, and vendors across multiple offices and locations is required. Occasional travel may be required for meetings, events, photo/video shoots, or vendor coordination. The full time base annual salary for this position in the New York and Washington D.C. market is expected to range between $92,896.65 - $160,097.24.
