Accounts Payable Accountant

Titan Talent Acquisition is partnering with a client in the Center Line area that is looking to add an experienced AP Accountant to their team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of Accounts Payable experience and a strong background managing invoices, vendor accounts, reconciliations, and payment processing. Previous experience within the construction industry is strongly preferred. This position is a good fit for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and able to manage a high volume of AP activity accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day Accounts Payable functions, including invoice processing, coding, and payment preparation. Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and appropriate account coding. Process vendor payments accurately and within established deadlines. Reconcile vendor statements and research discrepancies. Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation. Communicate directly with vendors regarding invoice and payment questions. Research and resolve invoice, payment, and account discrepancies. Assist with month-end Accounts Payable reconciliation and closing activities. Maintain organized and accurate AP records. Work closely with accounting, operations, and other internal departments to resolve payment-related issues. Assist with additional accounting responsibilities and special projects as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience required. Construction industry experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of invoice processing, vendor management, payment processing, and account reconciliation. Ability to handle a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable communicating with vendors and internal departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
