Lead Chef / Kitchen Manager

Location: Shrewsbury, PA Full-Time | $50,000 Annual Salary | $500 Signing Bonus

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Lead Chef / Kitchen Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen. This is a full-time leadership position for someone who takes pride in their food, their team, and the overall success of the kitchen.

Convenient Location

Our restaurant is located in Shrewsbury, PA, right off Route 83.

From the Timonium area: Approximately 25 minutes north via I-83.
From York, PA: Approximately 15–20 minutes south via I-83.

Our location makes us a convenient commute for experienced kitchen professionals in both the Maryland and York areas.

Compensation & Benefits
$50,000 annual salary
Full-time position
$500 signing bonus after 120 days of employment

Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth service.
Lead, train, schedule, and supervise kitchen staff.
Prepare and maintain high-quality food according to recipes and company standards.
Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed.
Monitor inventory, food usage, ordering, and portion control.
Help control food and labor costs while maintaining quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked kitchen.
Coordinate with management and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient service.
Assist with menu preparation, specials, and recipe development when needed.
Address kitchen issues quickly and professionally.
Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report any problems.
Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional work environment.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a chef, kitchen manager, sous chef, or lead cook.
Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety.
Leadership and staff-management experience preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Reliable, dependable, and able to take ownership of kitchen operations.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
