Quality Coordinator

Quality CoordinatorGreen Bay Packaging is seeking a Quality Coordinator to support our Quality Assurance & Testing team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will perform inspections, audits, and testing of corrugated and paperboard products, document nonconformances, assist with root-cause analysis, and help implement corrective actions. You'll maintain quality records, support customer requirements, and collaborate with production to ensure compliance with standards. Join a stable, family-owned company committed to safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement, with strong opportunities for training and long-term career growth.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and verify product quality throughout the 1st shift manufacturing process, ensuring packaging meets company and customer specifications.Perform routine in-process, incoming, and finished-goods inspections using measurement tools, test equipment, and visual checks.Document inspection results accurately in quality logs, databases, and production reports, maintaining complete and traceable records.Identify nonconforming materials or products, initiate holds or corrective actions, and communicate issues promptly to production and maintenance teams.Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities to address recurring quality issues and reduce defects and waste.Support adherence to ISO and internal quality standards by following established procedures, work instructions, and good manufacturing practices (GMP).Collaborate with operators, line leads, and engineers to resolve quality concerns and drive continuous improvement on the production floor.Perform packaging functionality and performance tests (e.g., strength, seal integrity, appearance) according to defined test methods.Participate in training and onboarding of production staff on quality requirements, inspection techniques, and documentation practices.Escalate critical quality concerns to Quality Assurance leadership and contribute input on process changes or improvements.Help maintain calibration status and proper use of gauges, measurement devices, and testing equipment.Promote a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation in line with Golden Bear Packaging Inc.'s values.Required SkillsQuality inspection and testingUse of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, scales, gauges)Basic understanding of manufacturing and packaging processesDocumentation and data entry in quality records or systemsRoot cause analysis and corrective action participationReading and interpreting specifications and work instructionsBasic knowledge of ISO or similar quality management systemsAttention to detail and accuracyCollaboration and communication with production teamsTime management in a fast-paced production environmentBasic computer skills (spreadsheets, email, quality databases)
