Job Summary
An Operating Room Open Heart Surgical Technologist position is available in San Bernardino, California. This role involves working in a specialized cardiac operating room environment, with responsibilities including scrubbing in surgical procedures such as cardiac, orthopedics, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, and gynecology. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS Certification), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), licensed to submit, at least 2 years of experience in a surgical technologist role, and experience working in an operating room environment.
• Additional Information: The unit notes include that the technologist must be able to scrub cardiac cases and, when cardiac cases are fewer, to scrub in other main operating rooms such as orthopedics, neuro, vascular, robotics, urology, general, or gynecology. The hospital can cancel up to four shifts per 13-week assignment or three shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks. Charting is completed in Cerner electronic medical record system. Call and every-other-week (EOW) requirements are in place.
