Groundskeeper - Part Time

Job TitleMaintains grounds of industrial, commercial or public property.Job FunctionsThe primary job functions include:Repairing structures and equipment.Cutting grass using walking-type or riding mowers.Trimming hedges and edges around walks, flower beds, and wells.Pruning shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth.Spraying lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer or insecticide.Planting grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs.Watering lawn and shrubs during dry periods.Picking up and disposing of leaves, paper, or other litter.Removing snow from walks, driveways, roads, or parking lots.Spreading salt on walkways and other areas.Repairing and painting fences, gates, benches, tables, guardrails, and outbuildings.Assisting in repair of roads, walks, buildings, and mechanical equipment.Cleaning comfort stations, office, and workshop areas, and parking lots.Performing other duties as assigned.RequirementsWhat you'll need:Education:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.Experience:Required: Minimum of 2 years of job-related experience.Experience in facilities, maintenance, groundskeeping, or a similar field is preferred.License/Certification:Preferred: No specific certifications required.Any relevant certifications in maintenance, safety, or facilities operations are a plus.Working Conditions:Frequent heavy or intense physical requirements.Frequent exposure to disagreeable environmental elements.Injury may require professional treatment or hospitalization--constant precautions required.Be able to stand extended periods, push, pull, bend, kneel, and stretch as required.Be able to lift 50 lbs.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledgeable and skilled in ground maintenance.Able to understand verbal or written direction.Disclaimer: CBRE Government and Defense is thrilled at the opportunity for you to apply to one of our roles.
