Assistant Manager

Location: Atlanta Botanical Gardens Salary: $52,000 - $55,000 Key Responsibilities & Duties Operational Management Assist in managing day-to-day parking operations, including staffing, scheduling, and facility maintenance. Monitor parking equipment functionality and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed. Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Customer Service Address customer inquiries, complaints, and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and problem-solving. Financial & Reporting Support revenue collection processes, including cash handling and reconciliation. Prepare and review daily/weekly reports on occupancy, revenue, and operational performance. Staff Supervision Assist in training, coaching, and supervising parking attendants and other staff. Monitor employee performance and provide feedback to ensure service quality. Compliance & Security Ensure adherence to local regulations, company policies, and security protocols. Coordinate with security teams to maintain a safe environment for customers and staff. Special Projects Support implementation of new technologies or systems to improve efficiency. Assist in planning for special events or peak periods requiring additional parking coordination. Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred. 2+ years of experience in parking operations, hospitality, or facility management. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with parking management systems. Skills Ability to seek improvement and create an environment of idea sharing and creative problem solving. Capable of handling employee conflict, following grievance procedures, mediating and conflict resolution. Strong customer service skills and abilities. Ability to be approachable and facilitate coaching conversations with employees and managers. Ability to mitigate and lead others to overcome challenges (Never Ever Give Up Attitude). Ability to encourage open expression of ideas and opinions. Excellent team building and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and multitask. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness. Physical Demands Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. Ability to lift, push and pull at least 25 pounds. Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time. Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
