Riverwoods Behavioral Health is Seeking a Full Time Patient Account RepresentativeRiverwoods Behavioral Health is seeking a full time patient account representative. The position requires three or more years' prior admissions and or collections experience in a hospital setting. Psychiatric experience is preferred.Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, short term and long disability, 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, FSA and HSA, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement program, growth opportunities, and paid time off.Responsibilities include calling and statusing outstanding claims with third party payors, reviewing claims issues and making corrections as needed and rebilling, utilizing claims clearing house to review and correct claims, resubmitting electronically when available, reviewing explanation of benefits to ascertain that claim processed and paid correctly, completing adjustment forms if any adjustments need to be made to an account and attaching all supporting documentation, managing daily productivity via patient accounting system and productivity reports, prorating patient accounts and monitoring that balance due is in the correct financial class, reporting an overview of the week to the BOD and participating in AR meetings, gathering and interpreting data from system and understanding appropriate course of action to take and initiating time-sensitive and strategic steps resulting in payment, assisting financial counselors as needed, and alerting financial counselors and business office director of all benefit eligibility matters that suggest or challenge reimbursement.Riverwoods Behavioral Health is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual's characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.
