What You’ll Do

• Provide hospital-based neurology care for a broad range of acute and complex neurologic conditions.
• Evaluate and manage acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke.
• Respond to and run stroke codes.
• Treat epilepsy and seizure disorders.
• Evaluate encephalopathy and altered mental status.
• Manage inpatient headaches and migraines requiring evaluation.
• Care for patients with dementia, cognitive disorders, neuromuscular disorders, and movement disorders.

What You Need

Required:

• Completion of a U.S. Neurology Residency
• Washington medical license
• Board Certification in Neurology, or Board Eligibility with certification within one year of start
• Ability to run stroke codes

Preferred:

• Spine experience

About the Assignment

This hospital-based neurology assignment is located at a 388-bed facility in Spokane and uses the EPIC electronic medical record. The department typically sees approximately 12–18 patients per day and provides care for acute neurologic presentations across a diverse patient population.
