Travel Respiratory Therapist - Registered RT/RRT

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a day-shift position at a Level III trauma teaching hospital, working with both pediatric and adult ICU patients.

Job Details

• Respiratory therapy department at a short-term acute care, Level III trauma teaching hospital with 733 staffed beds,
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM,
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend, including holidays,
• Floating required within scope to meet facility needs and between similar units,
• No on-call requirements,
• Block scheduling not accommodated,
• Uses Epic EMR system,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience required,
• State or compact RRT license required (license required if applicable),
• Pending license not accepted,
• Must be comfortable working with both adult and pediatric patients in ICU settings,
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration,
• At least one supervisor reference required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Solid black or black and white scrub color required,
• May float within the hospital or to a sister campus depending on booking,
• Maximum RTO of 4 days allowed, with only 1 holiday approved,
• Missed shifts require makeup shifts as determined necessary by the department,
• Travelers must be gone for 1 year before returning to this facility as a traveler,
• Extension limit of 2 contracts for day shift, after which a 6-month break is required before reapplying,
• Locals not accepted within 50 miles of the main campus,
• Background or license issues within the past year will not be approved,
• Vaccine exemption requests must be submitted promptly to avoid delays in start date
