Position Highlights

• Conduct thorough evaluations for patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics through a combination of standardized assessments and observational methods.
• Design tailored treatment plans that effectively target both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing demands.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions, focusing on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
• Engage in collaborative practices with medical professionals including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to foster unified care strategies.
• Educate patients and families, empowering them to continue progress outside of the clinic.
• Occasionally perform inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions to ensure seamless care along the treatment continuum.
• Document care interventions in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines, maintaining precise records.
• Commit to ongoing professional development and networking with peers to stay abreast of the latest innovations in the field.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Essential Certifications

• Active state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Possession of a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
