Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/14/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Position Highlights ER Holding unit with Med/Surg level of care 36- or 48-hour options available 1:4 patient ratios 8-bed unit with approximately 12 daily census Adult and geriatric patient population 24 hours of orientation Physical Therapy, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Rapid Response, and other interdisciplinary support Floating may be required to like units within the RN's scope of practice Requirements 2 years RN experience preferred; 1 year may be considered Previous travel experience not required Charge experience not required ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS required NIHSS certification required Med/Surg and MS/Tele experience Experience with telemetry, IV starts/management, oxygen administration, isolation precautions, wound care, insulin, heparin, feeding tubes, PICC lines, and CVA patients preferred Pending NM or Compact license accepted, but license must be obtained before start About Genie Healthcare Genie Healthcare is one of the fastest growing Nurse Travel Agencies in the USA.
