Loan Servicing Specialist

The Loan Servicing Specialist position is responsible for performing the necessary duties to make sure loans are processed correctly after closings and protects Community State Bank with properly recording collateral per policy and procedures. This position shares responsibilities for exception tracking, processing payments, customer research requests, Cash Management and Business Manager processing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Complete data entry of new commercial, agricultural and consumer loan bookings, loan disbursing, perfecting collateral, research and servicing of all loan types on the loan operation system
• Verify and review all loan documents are executed properly and make corrections as necessary
• Submit payments for various invoices, work with title companies
• Monitors and resolves past due loan exceptions including real estate, MVD liens and release of collateral from other institutions
• Process daily mail payments received
• Reviews and completes UCC continuations, when appropriate
• Review Posted Transactions from prior day to proactively monitor customer activity
• Review current and follow up on cancellation of insurance policies to ensure proper insurance is kept on collateral
• Add, Change or Delete commercial cash management requests and assist customers as needed
• Review and complete monthly internal loan reports
• Perform daily paid loan reports and release collateral as needed
• Process and Balance Floor Plan accounts
• Responds to customer inquiries immediately, whether in person, telephone call or email request

• Maintain a current working knowledge of all internal policies and procedures, laws and regulations
• Initiate and maintain a thorough working knowledge of software and equipment utilized by the department
• Provide feedback concerning documentation deficiencies
• Maintains a cooperative and professional manner with internal and external customers
• Promotes and protects the interest in the Bank at all times
• Promote CSB as a relationship bank with community focus by being involved in Community projects/activities

Qualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required.
Education: High School Diploma.
Experience: Ideal candidate will have 1 year loan operations or 2 years of banking experience
Loan documentation knowledge preferred.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Ability to be proficient in multiple software programs.

Skills: Detail oriented, dependable, organized and the ability to multi-task.
Human Relations: Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. This position will have contact with both internal and external customers.
Responsibility and Decision-Making: Responsible for meeting deadlines as set forth by Supervisor.
Supervision of Others: N/A
