The Rocket City Needs a Pediatric Neurologist to Join Established Practice

Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children is recruiting a child neurologist to join our employed, established child neurology practice. Duties include an outpatient clinic and serving as a consulting service for inpatients. The office is conveniently located next to Huntsville Hospital for Women and Children.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient clinic care for patients with seizures, headaches, developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and muscle disorders.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic studies including Baclofen pump evaluation, Botox injections, EEG, EMG/NCV studies, and EMU monitoring.
• Manage approximately 15–18 patients daily per physician and receive 50–60 referrals per week.
• Serve as a consulting service for inpatients within the hospital’s NICU, PICU, ER, and pediatric floors.
• Provide teaching to UAB medical students (MS3/MS4) and Family Medicine residents.
• Participate in a 1:3 on‑call schedule with low call‑back volume (3–5 calls in a seven‑day period).

Qualifications

• ABD or board‑eligible in child neurology; ABPN certified preferred.
• Experience or training in pediatric neurology and related diagnostic modalities.
