Job Description

Short-Term Live-In Caregiver – CNA or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) – Mechanicsburg, PA

All Hands Home Care is actively hiring a CNA or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) for a short-term live-in caregiver position in Mechanicsburg, PA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, compassionate caregiver who is comfortable providing continuous in-home support and companionship.

As a live-in caregiver with All Hands Home Care, you’ll provide high-quality, individualized care while helping the client remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their home.

Position Details:

• Position: Short-Term Live-In Caregiver
• Location: Mechanicsburg, PA
• Schedule: Live-In / Short-Term Assignment
• Client Setting: Private home
• Role: Home-based, non-facility caregiving
• Certification: CNA or Certified HHA preferred/required based on client needs

✨ Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, mobility, and meals
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with safe ambulation, transfers, and positioning as needed
• Support the client with daily routines and personal care needs
• Prepare meals and assist with appropriate nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment
• Monitor the client and communicate any changes in condition or needs to the appropriate family member or agency representative
• Provide medication reminders as permitted within the scope of the caregiver role
• Document care provided and maintain accurate records
• Respect client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
• Follow all All Hands Home Care policies, procedures, and care plans
• Communicate professionally and effectively with the client, family, and care team

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Certified Home Health Aide (HHA)
• 1+ year of caregiving experience preferred
• Previous experience providing in-home or live-in care preferred
• Ability to remain attentive, dependable, and compassionate throughout a live-in assignment
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to follow a care plan and communicate effectively with the client, family, and care team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified CNA or HHA
• Previous live-in or private-duty caregiving experience
• Experience assisting with activities of daily living and personal care
• Ability to build strong rapport with clients and families
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and trustworthy
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable working independently in a private-home setting
