CT Technologist

Role Overview A Radiology Technologist operates CT equipment to perform diagnostic imaging studies, ensuring adherence to department standards, safety protocols, and proper documentation. They are responsible for maintaining equipment calibration, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring quality imaging for interpretation. Key Responsibilities Operate all CT equipment and produce diagnostic-quality images Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain compliance records Perform sterile techniques and administer intravenous contrast Access and manage radiology information and imaging archive systems Calibrate, troubleshoot, and coordinate with service providers for imaging equipment Communicate professionally with staff, providers, and patients Assist with new employee orientation and radiology student instruction Participate in continuing education, quality improvement, and safety programs Qualifications & Skills High School diploma or GED; graduate of an approved Radiology Technology program ARRT (R) (CT) and MRT-General certification CT registry within one year of hire; BCLS certification Proven computer proficiency and strong communication skills Preferred: 1+ years of CT schooling, PACS/RIS experience, radiology tech experience, multi-slice scanner familiarity, venipuncture skills, multilingual abilities Additional Information Compensation ranges from $29.00 to $52.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
