ABOUT THE POSITION

Hulsbosch Dairy Farm is looking for a Bookkeeping / Accounting professional to join our office team. This position will assist with the day-to-day financial and administrative responsibilities of the farm, including maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, and assisting with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and interested in using technology and updated systems to improve efficiency and streamline workflow processes.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

● Enter and maintain accurate financial information in accounting software.

● Process invoices, bills, and payments.

● Manage and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

● Review invoices for accuracy and proper approval.

● Reconcile bank and credit card accounts.

● Track outstanding invoices and payments.

● Maintain organized financial records and documentation.

● Assist with monthly accounting and financial reports.

● Communicate with vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions.

● Assist with payroll and other accounting-related tasks as needed.

● Monitor and record expenses for different farm departments.

● Assist management with financial information and reporting.

● Identify opportunities to improve and consolidate administrative and accounting processes.

● Help implement updated systems and technology that improve organization, communication, and workflow efficiency.

● Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information.

● Assist with general office and administrative duties as needed.

● Perform other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

● Bookkeeping and accounting experience required.

● Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field required

● Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred.

● Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

● Ability to work as part of a team.

● Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.

● Strong problem-solving skills.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality.

● Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

● Ability and willingness to learn new technology and accounting systems.

The ideal candidate will also be technology-minded and familiar with updated accounting, administrative, and workflow systems. They should be able to identify opportunities to consolidate processes, improve organization, reduce duplicate work, and create a more efficient workflow across the farm.
