Position Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced Senior DevOpsEngineer to support secure reliable and scalable software delivery within a large-scale financial services environment. This role combines hands on DevOps engineering AWS cloud infrastructure CI/CD automation software development and production reliability.




This position is required in one of the following locations: Birmingham AL Knoxville TN Columbia SC or Lafayette LA

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89600.00 $123200.00.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The engineer will build maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab Jenkins and Terraform Enterprise while supporting the migration of legacy delivery processes to modern GitOps and cloud native workflows. Responsibilities include automating AWS infrastructure supporting containerized applications troubleshooting pipeline and production issues improving deployment reliability and incorporating security and compliance controls throughout the software delivery lifecycle.
This position also requires a strong software engineering mindset. The engineer will develop APIs automation services reusable frameworks developer self-service tools and internal platform capabilities using Python Java JavaScript/TypeScript or similar technologies. The role will work closely with engineering SRE and security teams to improve developer productivity platform reliability and operational efficiency.

. 5 years of experience in DevOps Platform Engineering Cloud Engineering or related software engineering roles.
. Strong hands-on experience building maintaining and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using GitLab Jenkins GitHub Actions or similar tools.
. Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code preferably Terraform/Terraform Enterprise with CloudFormation experience beneficial.
. Hands on experience supporting applications and infrastructure in AWS.
. Strong programming experience with Python and/or Java including developing testing debugging and optimizing automation APIs applications or platform services.
. Experience developing reusable automation internal developer tools APIs or self-service platform capabilities.
. Experience with Docker and containerized application environments.
. Proficiency with Python Bash or similar scripting languages for infrastructure and operational automation.
. Experience with monitoring and observability technologies such as Splunk CloudWatch Prometheus and Grafana.
. Strong understanding of application deployments production reliability incident troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA).
. Experience integrating security and compliance controls into CI/CD pipelines including secrets credentials and access management.
. Experience supporting CI/CD modernization efforts including migration from legacy tools to modern delivery platforms.
. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues across applications pipelines cloud infrastructure and production environments.
. Experience collaborating with software engineering SRE cloud and security teams in Agile/Scrum environments.




Educational Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering Information Systems or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
